The Spanish and Castilian-La Mancha Associations of Regional Science cordially invite you to the XLVIII International Conference on Regional Science, which will be held at the University of Castilla-La Mancha in Cuenca on October 16-18, 2024. This multidisciplinary meeting is Spain’s primary annual conference of territorial and regional science.

Titled “Sustainability, Water, and Territory: Regional Strategies for the Challenges of the 21st Century,” the event will examine environmental, social, and economic issues associated to climate change and water scarcity. Emphasis will be given to local solutions via analysis, planning, management, and collaboration.

Effective use of natural resources, biodiversity preservation, coping with climate change, and sustainable development are the main topics. Along with covering economic, social, political, technological, and cultural viewpoints, the event will also highlight the role that cities, regions, and rural areas play in these endeavours.
