The third project meeting of the MOBI-TWIN project

The third plenary meeting of the MOBI-TWIN project took place in the city of Thessaloniki, Greece on 11th and 12th of June, 2024. The event, organised by the Aristotelio University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) brought together consortium members to discuss important objectives, methodology, and collaborative prospects and focused on Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) principles.
The first day of the meeting was dedicated to setting foundations for the MOBI-TWIN project’s next phases. The general goals, anticipated activities, and partner roles were all topics of discussion.
A comprehensive overview of the project’s general objectives was presented at the beginning of the meeting. The main focus was to ensure all partners are aligned with the project’s mission. Partners were encouraged to discuss their challenges and insights, and the importance of timely deliverables and key milestones was highly emphasised, reflecting the project’s achievement.
The European Science Foundation (ESF) conducted a lively workshop on the principles of Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI). In order to ensure that the project’s activities serve society as a whole, this session emphasised the ethical and sociological aspects that are fundamental to the MOBI-TWIN project.
The ESSPIN project with which a synergy with MOBI-TWIN has been formed, was introduced by the Project Coordinator Mr. Dimitris Kallioras from the University of Thessaly. The ESSPIN project aims to re-examine the nexus of social, economic and spatial inequalities in the EU, the various typologies and the arrangements and mix of policies addressing them.
The second day focused on the specific activities of each partner and detailed planning for the fourth semester of the project. Responsibilities were clearly outlined, fostering accountability and clarity. This stage is critical to the project’s growth and relies on collaboration from all partners.
Ms Christina Kakderi from Aristotelio University of Thessaloniki presented the ST4TE project, which aims to provide a comprehensive view of the drivers of the twin transition (TT), the inequalities that emerge or are widened by it, and a set of policies to build greener, more equal and more productive societies. ST4TE project aligns well with MOBI-TWIN‘s objectives offering an exciting opportunity for collaboration.
The MOBI-TWIN project’s third plenary meeting in Thessaloniki marked another significant advancement in the partners’ collaborative journey. After this meeting the project moves firmly into its crucial second semester towards its goals ensuring impactful outcomes.
