MOBI-TWIN featured in the European Commission’s Employment & Social Outlook newsletter
MOBI-TWIN’s research has been featured in Issue #4 of the Employment & Social Outlook, the LinkedIn newsletter of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion (DG EMPL). The issue, dedicated to EU skills, highlights the project’s findings on how the twin transition is reshaping regional opportunities across Europe.
The newsletter presents new evidence from MOBI-TWIN showing that regions with strong digital and green capacity are increasingly better at retaining and attracting talent. Investments in digital infrastructure, renewable energy, and quality of life can help regions reverse decline and outward migration.
The feature also spotlights the project’s Regional Attractiveness Index (RAI), which maps how EU regions perform across traditional, digital, and green dimensions, as well as MOBI-TWIN’s second policy brief. A central message of the brief is that there is no single solution: successful transition strategies must be tailored to the specific needs of each region.
The inclusion of MOBI-TWIN’s results in the Commission’s own outlook on employment and skills underlines the project’s growing contribution to the European policy debate on talent, mobility, and regional development.
