On 10 March in Brussels, policymakers, researchers and regional leaders will gather at the European Committee of the Regions for an important conversation:
“The Future of Rural Europe: Making migration work for regions in decline.”

As a sister project to PREMIUM_EU, the MOBI-TWIN Project is pleased to highlight this timely discussion, which explores how migration, demographic change and regional policy intersect in shaping the resilience of Europe’s rural regions.

The event brings together leading voices from organisations including the OECD, IIASA, the European Committee of the Regions, the Polish Academy of Sciences, and academic institutions across Europe. Their insights will contribute to a broader dialogue on how migration can support regional renewal, innovation and long-term territorial balance.

For MOBI-TWIN, these discussions resonate strongly with our mission: advancing knowledge on mobility, migration and regional transformation to support evidence-based policymaking and more resilient European regions.
